  • Kristopher Walker

I wanted to be a proofreader… but it seems they don’t need any right now… :(

    • FoSScans

Hello Kristopher, right now the group is difficult to operate with so much schoolwork etc., and we usually have plenty of proofreaders. That’s not always the case, though, so if you still want to join you can but you would need to be available to proofread chapters if we ask you to all of the sudden if one of our current proofreaders is unavailable. If you aren’t comfortable joining you are still welcome to hang out at our chatroom, you can find the link in the side bar if you go to one of our recent release posts on the website, or just go to the forum and there is a chatbox at the top. You don’t have to make an account to chat.

  • Hannah Kim

I wanted to join as a korean translator, but there is no test?

    • FoSScans

Indeed, we have no test for Korean translators since we have never had a Korean translator to make a test…however, if you still want to join, I could ask a friend of mine who has a KTL to grade your test ^_^

  • Shals

I wanna be a typesetter. But the application submission process is a tad bit complicated. :|

    • FoSScans

      Hello Heartless,
I’m sorry to hear that about your previous group. You’d be welcome here on our team, although I’m afraid you would still need to go through the application process in order to become an editor. If you have any questions or want to chat with us before going through the application process, you can join us on Discord chat at: https://discord.gg/u8NfyWQ

What photoshop do you use? I would like to know so that one day I can save up for it and eventually purchase it so I can try to work as a cleaner.

    • Radioactivekitty

Hello, Athena! We normally use Photoshop CS6, but others do have the subscription-based Photoshop CC program, since it’s hard to get CS6 these days. Last I heard, the subscription cost a couple hundred dollars a year. You could also use one of the free (open-source) alternatives to Photoshop, such as GIMP, Pain.NET, or Krita. However, you do have to choose to save those files as “PSD” so that others who have Photshop can open them and edit the layers.

  • Krystine

I would love to help translate but I’m afraid I cannot. I was born in Vietnam and I can speak Vietnamese well, enough to argue with my mom and dad as they only speak in Vietnamese. I can read well but I’m afraid I wouldn’t be able to understand things like complex idioms as I was never taught that (I’ve only lived in Vietnam for 3 years) so I wouldn’t be able to really translate.
